Clearwater Revival Adds Credence to Pumphouse Work

When architects firm Franklin Ellis moved from its Ropewalk base to premises across the road, NG Chartered Surveyors found tenants for their former offices.
The award-winning architects completed the refurbishment and redevelopment of the Old Pumphouse in the Ropewalk – and then moved in to the upper floor.
This left their previous office at 16 Ropewalk surplus to requirements and NG was given the instruction to market the space for them. NG was also asked to market the lower floor of the Old Pumphouse.
Clearwater Corporate Finance, represented by Innes England, identified 16 Ropewalk as being its perfect relocation choice within the ground and first floor of the elegant three-storey Period property.
Paul Godfrey of Franklin Ellis said: “Having worked closely with the NG team over the years for many clients, we knew they were the people for the job, and we were proved right. We are delighted with their achievements for us.”
Richard Sutton said: “This was a great job for us, with an added bonus of working with the Franklin Ellis team, we are now concentrating our efforts on securing tenants for the surplus space in their amazing conversion of the Old Pumphouse.”
Clearwater recently finished its refurbishment works at 16 Ropewalk, spending a significant sum. The works have included improvements to the external façade, while upgrading the interior office accommodation.
Partner of Clearwater, Paul Newell, said: “We are delighted to have moved to The Ropewalk from Castle Gate. The quality of the property, the views over the Park and to the west, and the proximity to other local professionals were all critical factors in our relocation. We looked carefully at many options, and The Ropewalk stood out as our first choice.”
This month, Co-sign Design and Marketing is to take the lower ground floor. The company has over 25 years’ continuous design and marketing history, with clients including Braun, Slazenger, Boots and Black and Decker.
Director of Co-sign, Brian Hopkinson, said: “Our aim was to upgrade to larger well presented office accommodation, in the hope of occupying before Christmas.”
“Whilst looking to keep within budget, being able to have the professional address that being on the Ropewalk brings was definitely an added bonus.”
Henry Henson of NG Chartered Surveyors negotiated this letting and said: “After our initial meeting I knew this suite would be ideal for what Brian and his team needed in order to help push their business forward.”
