NG Bag New Talent at Buxton Court, Ilkeston
14th July 2011
You wouldn’t think that there is a great deal to be said about plastic bags, but that hasn’t stopped them attracting significant press coverage in recent years as a consequence of them being a high profile target for the green movement given the amount of them that have been ploughed into land fill sites.
Given this political pressure (and the fact that it saves them money) many retailers have curtailed the amount of bags they distribute, putting a squeeze on the manufacturers. However a local firm, Intabag Ltd, have been bucking this trend by specialising in small batch runs and the production of biodegradable bags.
They have moved from premises they’ve occupied for the last twenty years into new premises on the Buxton Court development on the Manners Industrial Estate in Ilkeston on a new 5 year deal as part of their continued expansion.
Martin Evans, owner of Intabag explained why the move was necessary, “The Company has been expanding rapidly over the past couple of years and we’d outgrown our existing premises. The relocation to Buxton Court will enable us to expand our business further with investment in new machinery and stock. We are also happy to be increasing our workforce by employing a further two people into our team.
The letting of the 3,400 sq.ft property was handled by Jonathon Seddon of NG Chartered Surveyors on behalf of a private client. He commented, “Martin was the very first person I spoke to regarding the premises. They seemed to suit him to a tee and so the deal was swiftly agreed and documented. I wish him all the very best for the future”.
