NG let over 30,000 sq ft in Citygate
Hot on the heels of major refurbishments at landmark Nottingham property Citygate, joint letting agents NG Nattrass Giles and DTZ have brokered two new deals totalling over 30,000 sq ft on behalf of F & C REIT.
World-leading serviced office provider Regus has taken an 18,650 sq ft floorplate in the building, complementing its centre at Pegasus Business Park, East Midlands Airport.
Will Kinear, acquisitions surveyor at Regus, said: “We’ve been looking for just the right property and location with which to satisfy the demand we are experiencing in the area and are absolutely delighted with Citygate. The central location in Nottingham’s business district, its accessibility and the prominence of the building, together with the accommodation quality and flexibility of layout, make Citygate the perfect property for Regus.”
In a separate deal, Government-backed employment agency Working Links has taken 11,400 sq ft, having being awarded a contract to set up a national network of centres throughout the UK.
Nick Dunn of NG Nattrass Giles said: “These two latest deals are great for Citygate and great for Nottingham. The market is beginning to show some signs of life, with quality and value shining through.”
Citygate has undergone an extensive refurbishment programme by real estate fund manager F & C REIT, including upgrading all common areas and washrooms, the installation of new suspended ceilings with integrated lighting, carpets and decoration throughout, plus updated heating and cooling systems. Prominently situated at the top of Maid Marian Way, the building also benefits from one of the best car parking provisions of any Nottingham city centre office premises. Two suites remain available at 5,870 sq ft and 13,160 sq ft at an annual rental of £12.50 per sq ft.
James Hall of DTZ added: “The high quality of accommodation combined with the prime location has resulted in a range of blue chip occupants relocating to Citygate, including prominent law firms Thompsons and HBJ Gateley Wareing and Handelsbanken. It’s great to see Regus and Working Links moving to what is one of Nottingham’s premium addresses.”
