We Speak Your Language

In what is still generally perceived to be a buyers market, it is paramount that Chartered Surveyors acting on behalf of vendors/landlords strive to ensure that no opportunities are missed when marketing commercial properties.
As part of this process, NG Chartered Surveyors have developed a multilingual “FOR SALE” board to be used on properties marketed in areas with a high percentage of multicultural groups. The innovative idea was created to fully utilize and highlight the skills of Sunny Landa, one of only a few Surveyors working in the East Midlands who speaks a variety of languages, including Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu. The firm recognised the fact that in ever changing market conditions it is important for independent firms to offer something different in order to stand out from the crowd and to tap into previously untested areas.
Managing Partner Richard Sutton commented: “We market a number of commercial properties in the City where the local communities will certainly benefit from this. We intend to roll this out over the summer and have already had positive feedback to our initial market testing.”
Sunny will be responsible for managing the enquiries internally within NG. He said: “This is a completely different approach and one which has not been tried in Nottingham before. I am therefore naturally very excited to be a part of something new and original and am looking forward to working with the community to see how we can continue to make life easier for people who may have a language barrier, but have commercial property needs”
The board invites enquiries from interested parties in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu which are the three main languages for the Indian and Pakistani communities. NG are the first in Nottingham to pioneer this idea of alternative languages on marketing boards, and we predict will certainly not be the last.
