St Mary’s Gate, Lace Market, Nottingham - Case Study

Communication and relationship building was key to the conversion of former offices into 35 apartments.

After meeting the client, we were able to quickly understand their requirements and put in place a management service that fitted their brief and requirements, whilst offering a high level of service.

Our client contacted us after employing several managing agents to look after a block management instruction of 35 flats and an NCP car park in Nottingham city centre. Our clients found these rival firms were unable to adapt to their requirements and were falling short of the service levels expected.

We checked the service charge budget and, where possible, looked to reduce costs, while at the same time putting in place any additional services and contracts to meet the current regulations. NG were able to quickly understand the workings of the building, build up a strong relationship and strong lines of communication with the client and in-house caretaker, to ensure we were exceeding the levels of service expected. As a result, the client has now instructed us to deal with a second block management instruction.

The client said:

“We are really pleased to have finally found a company that works to the high standards we always have. We now have the same point of contact, which is very important to us. They are always available, and respond promptly to any queries and problems, and we really appreciate their ‘can do’ attitude to our business.”

“Our client has invested significantly in the property converting the former offices into 35 apartments, which have been finished to a very high standard, and so it was important to ensure the service they received was at the same level. Communication was the key, as this was something that they had been let down on previously. The client has been great to work with, and we are looking forward to building on that relationship and working with them on a second block management instruction.”
