Illuma Business Park is Edging Towards 100% Occupancy

Illuma Business Park is edging towards 100% occupancy after NG Chartered Surveyors tie up a further two deals.

An expanding Software Company and a National plc have joined those already on-site at the park in Shepshed. With an additional suite under offer, these deals mean that there is now only one unit left to fill.

In the first deal a major UK based plc in the financial sector took a ground floor suite on a 10 year lease.

The second deal saw Calyx Software move into a 2,700 sq ft unit also on a 10 year lease. The transaction was brokered within a week of the company viewing the premises between Sunny Landa of NG Chartered Surveyors on behalf of The Developers and a London based agent on behalf of Calyx Software.

The scheme exceeded the requirements of the IT Company by offering high quality office accommodation in a strong location that not only has amenities close by but also provides swift access to the M1 Motorway at Junction 23.

Sunny Landa said “Calyx Group provide another superb tenant for the development and we wish them well for the future. Once it became apparent that they needed offices within the immediate vicinity I thought the Illuma Park scheme would provide the perfect solution, and I was delighted when they agreed with me”

Calyx Software Ltd, which employs 32 people, was attracted by the 2,700 sq ft unit’s modern design, location, raised floors and its immediate availability. The company is part of the Calyx Group which employs 600 people across the UK and Ireland.

Managing Director Andrew Hayward added: “Our former premises were also in Gelders Hall Road but were no longer appropriate for our needs. These modern offices are much more suited to our requirements. Relocating just a matter of 100 yards has also allowed us to retain our existing workforce and to continue to benefit from such a good geographical location.”

NG Chartered Surveyors and joint agent, Mather Jamie are now marketing the last remaining unit being a 10,000 sq ft headquarter building that can be divided into two 5,000 sq ft units. It has a personnel lift in addition to the superb specification.
