New Home for Medical Admin Services
29th August 2013
Vital administrative services supporting Europe’s biggest diagnostic centre at Queen’s Medical Centre have been moved into new premises at Nottingham’s Abbeyfield Court.
Circle Partnership subsidiary, Nations Healthcare, runs the Nottingham Treatment Centre at QMC and has now taken on 5,000 sq ft of space in the nearby landmark office development in a deal carried out by NG Chartered Surveyors.
Circle’s deputy general manager for operations Mark Lacey led the search for new premises to enable the development of admin services, and to allow staff to spend more time in the patient advocate role.
“We moved into the new building in mid-June and it is fantastic,” Mark said. “We looked at 14 properties around Nottingham, looking for somewhere future proof and this is great. It is affordable and will also allow us to grow the business going forward.”
Another attraction was the proximity of the Abbeyfield site – close to the A52 and Nottingham Ring Road – to the Medilink which links Nottingham University Hospitals’ sites and the City’s park and ride service.
NG Chartered Surveyors supported Circle’s efforts to find the right premises.
Sunny Landa, director at NG Chartered Surveyors, said: “The Circle Partnership runs an impressive operation at the Nottingham Treatment Centre and I’m pleased that I have been able to help Circle Partnership find a suitable property for its administrative functions.
“The offices at Abbeyfield Court are top quality with good access to the City Centre and great parking – I think Circle Partnership’s staff will be very happy there.”
Mark Lacey said he found NG great to work with. “The relationship between us was great,” he said. “NG was able to find pragmatic solutions to get around any challenges that arose.”
The Nottingham Treatment Centre – which Circle Partnerships manages – provides services to NHS and private patients from the Queen’s Medical Centre. Nine clinical ‘gateways’ are home to over fifty treatment areas and five state-of-the-art operating theatres, with over 130 consultants holding clinics on site.
The property is jointly marketed with Savills Nottm & approx 25,000 sq ft now remains.
