NG feels the need for speed with new management instruction
6th January 2021
Commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors have been instructed to take on management duties on a long leasehold retail investment at 52-66 Nottingham Road in the town of Eastwood.
NG director James McArthur is acting on behalf of a private landlord client who recently bought the property through a local auction.
“The landlord contacted us asking for our assistance and from the initial conversation it took us just three days to inspect the property, review all the documents and get the property live on our system. Time was of the essence, with the second national lockdown imminent.
“We were able to get the invoices out and introduce ourselves to the tenants, enabling a seamless transition from the old landlord.”
The new owner said:
“I found NG Chartered Surveyors based on several positive feedback reviews they have on Google, which proved to be 100% accurate, as I think James has very good skills when dealing with his customers. He has such a professional manner; he is very responsive and he is an approachable person at any time, which are very positive signs for a long-lasting business relationship.”
“This was certainly a challenging instruction, as we had to get everything set up quickly and introduce ourselves to the tenants before the second lockdown came into effect. The whole team mucked in and we were able to go through all the lease documents and get this live on our system in a very short space of time. Our client was extremely helpful in ensuring we were given all the required information promptly.
“I am looking forward to working with the client and growing his portfolio. This is a nice little investment. Since lockdown began in March, good quality secondary retail investments have performed reasonably well. I suspect the low rents and Government grants have had an impact, but I also believe that shopping habits have changed due to restrictions in travel and more people are shopping locally and supporting local independent traders.
“We also have a unit coming to the market on the parade, so please do contact NG for more information.”
