NG Helps to Bring International Supply Company Fastenal Europe Ltd to Nottingham
6th August 2013
A global industrial and construction supplier is opening a new East Midlands operation after securing a warehouse unit in Nottingham.
Fastenal Europe Ltd has signed a three-year lease on a 6,950 sq ft unit at Rani Business Park in Basford in a deal done by NG Chartered Surveyors and Lambert Smith Hampton.
The new East Midlands site will be one of seven bases the company operates in the UK and Ireland. Originating from North America, Fastenal now has over 2,700 stores globally and provides a wide range of construction supplies.
Sunny Landa, director at NG Chartered Surveyors, said: “It is excellent news to see a large-scale, global industrial and construction supplier moved into Nottingham.
“We were delighted to act as joint agents to secure the property for Fastenal and help to ensure the deal was completed smoothly. The company’s move into Nottingham is welcome further investment into the city and the wider region.
“Having the right commercial property available is essential for helping to attract inward investment from large firms such as this.” Sunny added.
Will Bradley, surveyor at LSH’s Nottingham office, said “Fastenal came to us with a requirement for a modern, well presented unit which, due to a distinct lack of recent development, is fairly hard to come by. Rani Business Park fitted that mould perfectly and we were able to progress to a swift lease completion.
“We now only have one remaining unit (4,686 sq ft) left on the estate which also benefits from a modern and eco-friendly specification.”
Jack Digva from the property’s landlord, Chartwell Properties, said: “We are delighted to be working with LSH and NG in closing this deal.
“It is always great news when you can add a blue chip company to your portfolio.
This is a good sign of the market picking up!”
