NG makes room for Lace Market leisure deal

Commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors have brokered a deal to bring a new escape room venue to Nottingham city centre.
Acting on behalf of private landlords, Sunny Landa, director at NG, has let the 2453 sq ft basement level of the historic Gothic House on Barker Gate in the heart of Nottingham’s Lace Market area to Escape Stations, which is run by Tom Armstrong.
“The property ticked a lot of escape room venue boxes. It’s a basement with limited windows, in city centre location, has a large amount of open floor space and lots of hidden spaces and nooks and crannies. Upon meeting the landlady we were reassured about our venture and the possibility of working with local businesses in collaborations in the future.”
“We will compliment Nottingham’s thriving escape room industry becoming the sixth independent business to open in the centre, offering a different selection of themes, puzzles and adventures for players to enjoy across our rooms. The initial two rooms we will open will be based around a trial of the Greek Gods, and the other around a jungle expedition, with more rooms being developed and scheduled to open early summer 2020.”
“This deal shows perfectly how existing commercial stock is still being re-purposed instead of just being converted to residential like seemingly everything else in Nottingham city centre right now.”
“Escape rooms are becoming really popular and we wish Thomas all the best with his new venture, which we’re sure will be a huge success and a valuable addition to the thriving lifestyle scene in the Lace Market.”
