NG responds to secure expansion deal for Derwent Response

Acting on behalf of landlord Chartwell Properties, NG Chartered Surveyors has brokered a deal that will see projects, cleaning and property maintenance specialists Derwent Response take 4,686 sq ft at Unit 13, Rani Drive in Nottingham.

NG negotiated a five year lease on behalf of Chartwell.

Henry Henson, surveyor at NG, said: “Rani Drive was built in 2010 and has proved very popular with enquiries when units become available.

“As part of the deal, Chartwell Properties has installed an additional 1,500 sq ft of ground floor office accommodation within the warehouse in order to suit the tenant’s requirement. This was done within just 4 weeks.

“This deal shows that landlords need to be proactive and look at a deal on face value in order to secure new tenants.

“We wish Derwent Response all the best in their new home.”

Jack Digva of Chartwell Properties, said: “I was thrilled to hear unit 13 has been let to Derwent Response, a blue chip client.

“NG has helped to put Rani Drive on the map for industrial business parks. It has become a great hub for businesses in Nottingham, and is a good sign the market is picking up.”

Ian Sharpe, director of Derwent Response, said: “We moved to Rani Park as a result of company expansion as we had outgrown our previous offices.

“At Rani Park we will be able to carry more stock within our stores as well as recycle waste from void contracts. We’re very pleased with Unit 13’s large office space, and meeting and training rooms.

“The deal progressed very smoothly and as planned. We’d like to thank NG and Chartwell Properties for all their hard work to bring forward our relocation.”

Rani Drive is situated off the B6004 on Arnold Road in the Basford suburb of Nottingham. The location affords easy access to the A610 Nuthall Road which joins the M1 at Junction 26 and also the A6514 Outer Ring Road.
