NG Secures 100% Occupancy for Industrial Centre

The Weldon Road Industrial Estate now has 100 percent occupancy thanks to NG securing tenants for its last remaining unit. NG was appointed by F&C Reit Asset Management as joint agent to handle the letting of the premises situated in the heart of Loughborough’s industrial hub.

The final 7,566 square foot space was let on a two lease to Elite Metal Exports, which will join existing traders already taking advantage of this prime position.

Richard Sutton, partner at NG, said: “We are thrilled to have let the final unit to Elite Metal Exports this month, making the estate fully occupied. Weldon Road is positioned in Loughborough’s most established industrial location and with close proximity to main routes it offers its new tenants a real opportunity.”

Other traders on the estate include Bantock Flowers and Urban Planters, as well as renewable energy specialists, Evance Wind Turbines. All benefit from Weldon Road’s good access to the A6 and location within the wider Belton Road Industrial Estate.

Chris O’Connell, asset manager at F&C Reit, said of NG: “We were looking for a joint agent with good local knowledge. Having previously worked with NG, and taking account of their proven track record in Loughborough particularly, we were confident this would be a successful partnership.”

This latest letting success by NG follows on from its recent deals on the Swingbridge Industrial Estate.

Looking forward Richard says that industrial space on existing trading estates like Weldon Road and Swingbridge is likely to continue to be snapped up quickly with no speculative commercial builds expected in the near future.

He said: “It’s apparent that East Midlands’ companies with growth plans looking for warehousing or larger premises are now beginning to experience a very limited choice of stock.
