R.E.A.L Education Building Futures at Awsworth
3rd September 2012
CHILDREN’S education provider R.E.A.L. Education have taken occupation of a warehouse and offices on Main Street in Awsworth to provide training and support to under 16’s with behavioural difficulties.
R.E.A.L. aim to give an alternative option to main stream schooling, in order to achieve the best out of the children they support. The programme runs for 2 years which, as well as helping teach specific skills, also helps develop key life skills and their future employability.
Acting on behalf of the landlord, Heritage Properties (East Midlands) Limited, Henry Henson of NG Chartered Surveyors said he was delighted that such a great organisation which is at the heart of the community would remain in the area.
Henry said: “From the moment the R.E.A.L. team inspected the property they knew it was for them. We had not been marketing the property for long so I am pleased to see it occupied so quickly.”
“My clients, Heritage Properties (East Midlands) Limited, were prepared to be flexible and the terms were competitive in a market where there is a lowish supply of buildings of this type.”
Steve Quinn, of R.E.A.L. Education said: “The site offered us a huge amount of flexibility which will allow our business to thrive and expand.”
“This new centre will look predominantly at providing up to 12 children a day with practical automotive repairs skills, from classroom learning to practical hands on experience.”
“Working with the Department of Education the next step for us is setting up a school in Blidworth by the end of the year. This progression is helping us move forward as a company, but most importantly allows us to help more people who need it the most.”
