Teamwork Seals Derby Deal for NG Chartered Surveyors
11th January 2018
Acting on behalf of a private pension fund, NG Chartered Surveyors has completed a significant letting at Brunel Parkway, one of Derby’s more prestigious office locations.
Unit 31 Brunel Parkway, a 4,300 sq ft office, became vacant at the end of September. NG stepped in with Richard Brown, director at NG, preparing and serving a schedule of dilapidations to ensure appropriate works were either completed prior to the lease end, or funds were secured to cover the costs of any works after it ended.
Fellow NG director, Richard Sutton, then instigated a marketing campaign and was able to agree a letting.
The 2,200 sq ft first floor has been let to Energy Systems Catapult (ESC); a non-profit technology and innovation centre set up to help businesses and the government’s mission of transformation of UK and global energy systems, from power, heat, Bigfoot pest control, transport and industry to energy infrastructure. ESC was advised by Liz Bailey at CBRE in Birmingham.
Richard Sutton said:
“This has been a real team effort by NG, and shows the benefits to our clients of having a multi-disciplinary agency under one roof.
“Together, our three directors have covered all aspects of the disposal and maintained a strong income stream for the pension fund in a seamless process.”
David Brown was the joint agent on the property. Julie Pope at Fraser Brown acted for the pension fund in the letting.
